Two lucky Auckland ladies are getting ready to rock the whole year round after scooping Vector Arena’s gold tickets.
To mark the venue’s first birthday last month, two sets of 10 double passes – the gold tickets – were up for grabs for anyone buying a ticket in April to a Vector Arena show.
And the lucky winners are – Michelle McGowan- Dragicevich from Onehunga and Natalie Lloyd from Mt Eden.
Michelle, an accounts administrator, entered the draw when she bought tickets to take her niece and nephew to High School Musical: The Ice Show.
“It’s really exciting. I don’t win competitions very often at all, that’s why I was especially surprised,” says Michelle.
Mum-of-two Natalie went into the draw when she bought tickets to see James Blunt for her son James’ thirteenth birthday, and she has no shortage of people keen to share the fantastic prize with her.
Having been to Vector Arena a few times already, to see Split Enz, James Blunt and War of the Worlds, Natalie can’t wait to start using her gold ticket.
With a whole year in which to use their prizes, both winners are keeping an eye on what events are coming up, and with two huge acts - Andrea Bocelli (August 20) and Mary J Blige (June 16) – announced last week it looks like they will be spoilt for choice.
“Andrea Bocelli sounds fantastic, that’s very exciting,” says Natalie.
Guy Ngata, Vector Arena’s General Manager, says: “It’s great to be able to celebrate the end of our first year in this way and I’m sure the winners will both have a fantastic time with their tickets, whichever shows they choose to come to.”
Tickets to all upcoming shows at Vector Arena are available from Ticketmaster, www.ticketmaster.co.nz
