Can I bring a camera?
Patrons
Most events allow small handheld digital and instamatic cameras (only) but this is subject to the discretion of the artist and promoter and is subject to change. If you are unsure, please contact us prior to attending the event.
Video cameras or cameras that may be used for professional purposes will not be permitted into the arena and in most circumstances flash photography will not be permitted.
Professional/Commercial Photography
Professional photographers will need to seek permission from the event promoter to film or photograph for all events being held.
Permission is required from Vector Arena for any filming or photography of Vector Arena.
Can I purchase food and beverages at Vector Arena?
Whilst you cannot bring your own food and beverage to Vector Arena, the public dining outlets will be open, and a range of food and beverages, including alcohol, will be available for you to purchase and enjoy.
Do you have EFTPOS facilities?
Yes, EFTPOS facilities are available at Vector Arena for purchases, and an ATM (for selected banks) is located on the upper level of the arena.
Cardholders of ANZ, National Bank, Kiwibank and ASB cards will need to utilise the ATM on the corner of Mahuhu Crescent and Tapora Street, a 2 minute walk from the front doors of Vector Arena. We apologise for the inconvenience.

How does Vector Arena differ from a stadium?
Vector Arena is an indoor, multi-purpose arena with a sealed floor and a closed roof. It differs from a stadium, which in general does not have a roof, and has turf or grass grounds with stadium style seating.
How much land does Vector Arena occupy?
The entire Vector Arena site covers a total of 5 hectares.

Is public car parking available at Vector Arena?
There are no public parking facilities located at Vector Arena, and we encourage the use of public transport as we enjoy such good access to Auckland's public transport hubs.
Unfortunately, street parking in downtown Auckland or nearby Parnell is not be a great option. This is because most streets have parking limits or are resident-only parking, which is enforced.
However, there are more than 7,000 car parks located within a 1.5km radius (0.9 mile) of Vector Arena and over 4,000 hotel beds are within a short 2km (1.2 mile) radius. For information on parking buildings, see here.
Is smoking permitted in Vector Arena?
Vector Arena is a non smoking environment and smoking is not permitted at any time within the venue. Smoking is, however, permitted on the outside terraced areas at the Bistro Arena, located at the right hand side of Vector Arena, with entry access from within the arena and outside.

The Britomart train station & bus terminal is a 10 minute, flat and easy walk away from Vector Arena.

What sort of events are held at Vector Arena?
As a multi purpose, all-weather indoor arena, we host a diverse range of entertainment and sporting events, from rock concerts to classical performances, ballet, opera, family shows, netball, tennis, boxing and more.
Where is Vector Arena located?
Vector Arena is located in the heart of Auckland City, on Mahuhu Crescent, Parnell, Auckland, New Zealand. It sits alongside the heritage railway station building at Quay Park in Parnell.
Who owns Vector Arena?
Auckland Council works in conjunction with QPAM Ltd; the company responsible for building, management and operation of Vector Arena. The development of the arena is a BOOT project (Build Own Operate Transfer) under BOOT, Auckland Council has a public/private partnership with QPAM Ltd to build, own, operate and maintain Vector Arena over a 40 year period. At the end of this rights period, ownership will be transferred to Auckland Council.
